Pepta is built and maintained by a small, focused team. Most questions can be answered with the troubleshooting steps below — but if you can't find what you need, write to hi@peptaapp.com and we'll get back to you.

Bug or crash? Email hi@peptaapp.com with a quick description of what happened and the device and OS version. Screenshots help. Pepta does not automatically collect logs, so the more detail you can share, the faster we can fix it.

Subscriptions and billing

How do I cancel my Pepta+ subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play — not by Pepta. The fastest path is right inside the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription. That deep-links you straight to your store's subscription screen where you can cancel, change plan, or change payment method. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.

  • iOS / iPadOS: Settings app → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Pepta+ → Cancel.
  • Android: Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pepta+ → Cancel.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the platform under its standard refund policy:

  • Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Pepta+ purchase, and select Request a refund.
  • Google Play: visit Google Play's refund page for the latest steps.

Pepta cannot issue refunds directly because we never receive your payment information.

How do I restore my Pepta+ subscription on a new device?

Open Pepta on the new device, go to Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same App Store / Google Play account that originally purchased Pepta+. Restore is free and unlimited — use it whenever Pepta+ doesn't show as active.

Notifications and reminders

I'm not getting dose reminders.

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. If they're not firing, walk through this checklist:

  1. Open Settings → Notifications inside Pepta and confirm reminders are on for the medication you expect to be reminded about.
  2. Open the system Settings app → Notifications → Pepta (iOS) or Apps → Pepta → Notifications (Android) and confirm notifications are allowed for Pepta. On Android, also check that the Dose reminders channel is on.
  3. Make sure your phone isn't in Do Not Disturb / Focus mode for the time the reminder fires (or add Pepta to the allowed apps for that focus).
  4. Force-close Pepta and reopen it once. Reopening re-syncs scheduled reminders.

Charts and tracking

My weight chart looks empty.

The chart needs at least two weight check-ins to draw a trend. Add today's weight from Today → Daily check-in, and the chart will populate as you log more entries.

The estimated medication-level chart is locked.

The estimated, ongoing medication-level chart and shot-planning preview are part of Pepta+. Free users still see the curve preview on the home screen — Plus removes the lock, adds the planning slider, and unlocks 90-day and all-time chart ranges.

Data and privacy

How do I back up my data?

Pepta stores everything on-device by design. To make a portable backup, go to Settings → Data → Full JSON backup. The file includes every dose, weight, medication, and setting. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email — whatever you prefer.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

Restore from the JSON backup on the new device: Settings → Data → Import from JSON backup. On iOS, your data is also included in your iCloud Backup if you have device backup enabled. On Android, your data is included in your Google account backup if device backup is enabled.

How do I delete all my data?

Two options:

  • From inside the app: Settings → Data → Erase all data. This wipes every medication, dose, weight entry, and check-in from this device. The action is irreversible — export a JSON backup first if you want a copy.
  • By deleting Pepta: removing the app from your device also removes its data, since nothing is stored on a Pepta server.

Medical questions

Pepta is not a medical device and we cannot answer questions about your medication, dosing schedule, side effects, or treatment plan. Please contact the clinician who prescribed your medication for those questions. For emergencies, call your local emergency number.
